Does HydroxyStim Work?

HydroxyStim is yet another product manufactured by MuscleTech. There have been very few, if any, MuscleTech products that we’ve recommended in the past based on our research, but companies can change and therefore we feel it appropriate to give each product a fair review.

HydroxyStim is the newest of the “hydroxy” products, and in fact it’s so new that it hasn’t been put on the market yet. It is designed specifically as a pre-workout supplement, not only to boost your energy before a workout but also to increase your mental focus so you can push through the burn. There hasn’t been a retail price released yet, but the ingredients and product claims are out, so let’s take a look at those.

Ingredients

As listed on the label, the ingredients are:

• Geranium Extract (177 mg)
• Caffeine Anhydrous (100 mg)
• Deanol Bitartrate (17 mg)
• Yohimbine Extract (40 mg)
• Huperzine Extract (13 mcg)

The geranium extract and caffeine anhydrous are primarily designed to increase energy so you can have a very effective workout. Geranium extract is also believed to increase mental focus.

In addition to the geranium extract, deanol bitartrate and huperzine extract are also designed to improve your mood and mental capacity, thus giving you the mental attitude you need to work through the burn in your workouts.

Lastly, the yohimbine extract is used in HydroxyStim as a fat burner. One study claimed that yohimbine decreases fat in athletes, but that is just one study and it’s not widely accepted.

HydroxyStim is wise in listing the dosage of each ingredient on the label, instead of putting them all in one proprietary blend. That way we can give them praise for using the right amount of their ingredients. There is not any type of appetite suppressant in HydroxyStim, and we’re not too confident in their fat burner, but as a pre-workout supplement energy booster it could be quite the effective diet pill.

MuscleTech may have turned a positive corner with the production of HydroxyStim. We won’t know for sure until the product is on the market if it is going to be worth trying, but a preliminary study of HydroxyStim leads us to believe that they have used the proper dosages of some effective ingredients, and that they offer a money back guarantee.
