The idea behind this and many other diet pills that make use of Acai as the cure all for every ailment from obesity to cancer is the Acai berry’s high concentration of antioxidants. Antioxidants are chemicals that help eliminate free radicals in the system. Free radicals are unstable molecules that have lost an electron due to any number of reasons from sun damage to metabolism. It is believed that these molecules can cause a lot of health issues that can be as serious as cancer. Antioxidants can essentially loan these free radicals an electron without becoming free radicals themselves helping to balance out the system and promote good health.

Concentrated Acai may be a good way to supplement your antioxidant intake but it has very little to do with weight loss. The other ingredients in Acai Optimum are said to compliment the naturally high fiber and protein in Acai in order to help you suppress appetite and boost metabolism but there isn’t a lot to lead me to believe that’s true.

Acai Optimum heavily advertises their free trial that you can return and cancel after 14 days. I’m always sceptical of these types of deals since they are usually a scam of some kind. Officially Acai Optimum has a money back guarantee but you have to be on top of it and be careful not to get scammed into ongoing payments for a product you don’t want.

There is little doubt that antioxidant rich foods like Acai berry are good for you and would be a good idea to incorporate into any diet. Acai is also a good source of fiber and protein as opposed to other good antioxidants like pomegranate that don’t have those other qualities. Ingredients like green tea have been linked to increased weight loss as have ingredients like Garcinia Gambogia.

When you try and purchase this product you usually get redirected to some other Acai product of a different name. I don’t really understand why that would be the case but when you try and research the company there are a number of unflattering reviews. In an unregulated industry like this one you have to be careful about red flags like that especially when Acai Optimum offers a “free” trial. Often these types of trials are scams to get you enrolled in an automatic payment system that is difficult to get out of.

Is Acai Optimum Worth Trying?

I wouldn’t suggest this product over any other. The Acai trend is a bit of a fad and it should be made clear that while Acai is a good supplement to a weight loss pill, it does not have any direct effect on weight loss. Then you have to consider the shady reputation of the company that sells Acai Optimum. I’m not suggesting that Acai Optimum is some kind of scam but you can’t be too careful these days and Acai Optimum does have some of the tell tale signs of less than honest marketing practices.
