Does Acai A1 Work?It seems like anything coming out of Brazil these days is touted as the next best thing. That seems to go for diet pills as well as underwear models apparently. Acai berries, grown in the dense jungles of the Amazon basin, have become one of the most popular health foods in America. You can get them in smoothies, buy the juice and of course get them in a pill like Acai A1.
Acai is one of the world’s best antioxidants and Acai A1 is nothing more than an 800mg capsule of Acai berry extract. Acai A1 “Advanced Detox” is supposed to be an advanced weight loss supplement that uses the natural properties of Acai to detoxify the body which helps people lose weight. The company doesn’t really back up that claim with any research beyond telling you their customers report losing up to 12 pounds after using the product.
There is no doubt that Acai is a great antioxidant and helps your body get rid of free radicals that can contribute to poor health. The detoxifying aspect of Acai alone isn’t really substantiated and neither are the weight loss claims
The website says they offer a 100% no questions asked satisfaction guarantee. That’s a good sign, since you never know if a product is really going to do what it claims until you try it. On the home page they say you can try it for up to 90 days and get your money back if you aren’t satisfied. What I don’t understand is the other page on the website that states the guarantee only applies to unopened bottles of Acai A1. That seems to be conflicting.
It takes more than a fruit juice to be an effective detoxifying agent. That is a big problem with any single ingredient supplement. You also have to consider the dosage and, although Acai is good for you, there’s nothing out there proving 800mg is the correct dosage to aid weight loss.
I don’ think there is anything wrong with getting more antioxidants into your diet. With all the junk floating around our world today, our bodies are more likely to contend with free radicals now than they ever have. I would recommend we all incorporate healthy fruits like Acai into our diets but paying around $30 for pills may be going a little too far. Acai A1 claims to help you detoxify your body and help you lose weight but there isn’t any evidence suggesting that Acai A1 can directly help any of those things. It certainly doesn’t hurt but there are too many other similarly priced items available on the market today to settle for a product that won’t do any harm but might not do a lot of good.
